Jobkeeper Update – What you need to do right now

The Jobkeeper application is open from 20th April 2020 however you can start preparing for it right now by completing the following steps.

Step 1
Download the myGovID app to your smart device from the App Store or Google Play links below. Each individual who is required to access your entity will require their own myGovID.

Step 2
Register your myGovID account via the app. You will be required to use 2 Australian identity documents such as drivers licence, passport, birth certificate and/or Medicare (your name must match in each).

Step 3
Log in to RAM. You can access RAM by visiting
https://info.authorisationmanager.gov.au/. Log in with your myGovID and link your entity’s ABN. The way you link depends on whether you’re an eligible individual, associate or a primary person.

Step 4
login into the ATO Business Portal to complete registration

Step 5
Register your interest and subscribe for JobKeeper payment updates:

Step 6
Check your business meets the eligibility requirements.

Step 7
Check your employees meet the eligibility requirements.

Step 8
Notify your eligible employees that you are intending to claim the JobKeeper payment on their behalf and check they aren’t claiming JobKeeper payment through another employer or have nominated through another business.

Step 9
Send the JobKeeper employee nomination notice (PDF) to your nominated employees to complete and return to you by the end of April if you plan to claim JobKeeper payment for April. Keep it on file and provide a copy to your Juggernaut Accountant.

Step 10
Continue to pay at least $1,500 to each eligible employee per JobKeeper fortnight (the first JobKeeper fortnight is the period from 30 March to 12 April). If you have not been paying your staff $1,500 per fortnight already, please review the following link.
